Student Council

Advisors: Mrs. Dang (room 26) and Mrs. Hoehn (room 27)

Meetings: Student Council meets every other week at lunch. Each 4th and 5th grade classroom has 2 representatives to attend the meetings.

What is Student Council?  Student Council at Welby Way is a dynamic program aimed at nurturing leadership skills in 4th and 5th graders. Through engaging activities and meaningful initiatives, this council empowers young students to develop essential leadership qualities. Students learn to collaborate, communicate effectively, and make informed decisions that benefit their school community.

What does Student Council do at Welby Way? Through various projects such as organizing spirit days, leading parent tours, and advocating for positive change through the arts, the Welby Way’s Student Council provides a supportive platform for these young leaders to thrive, fostering a sense of responsibility and civic engagement that will serve them well in the future.
