Accelerated Reader
Welby Way uses Renaissance Learning's Accelerated Reader program as part of our ELA program. Students take a STAR test multiple times throughout the school year to help determine their independent reading level. Students will also receive a reading range that will help them find a perfect book! One that is not too easy and not too difficult. This program will help your child develop a life long love of reading! AR serves as the practice component of a comprehensive reading program by promoting personalized practice combined with data to monitor and manage that practice. With so many choices of book titles, it's easy to integrate content-area reading practice as well.
Access to the program can be found on Schoology or Clever your child's LAUSD Single Sign-On, username and password.
