Good evening Welby Way families,

I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend and enjoying the sunshine and goodness as we prepare for another busy week of school.  We are also moving closer to next weekend's Glow Party at Hale Middle School from 5:00 - 8:00 pm. Don't forget to get your tickets.

This Week:

Tuesday:  On Tuesday at 8:05 am in the Parent Center, POWW will have their April POWW meeting.  They will be finalizing the details for the Glow Party and any remaining events for the school year.  All are welcome.

Thursday:  On Thursday 5th grade will be walking to Hale Middle School for an articulation meeting as the students learn more about the school and program options for 6th grade.

Also on Thursday at 3:00 pm will be the April SSC/Governance Meeting via zoom as we discuss school data, the annual LCAP, and upcoming charter visit.   All are welcome to participate in the meeting.  Log in information is below and the agenda is attached: Meeting ID: 517 366 2641    Passcode: welby

Friday:  On Friday it will be the final After School Orchestra Enrichment class followed by the Spring Concert at 4:00 pm in the auditorium.  Families will enter through the back of the auditorium for the show and doors will not open until 3:50 pm.  I can't wait to hear the amazing sounds of the students as two of our Welby Way orchestra students performed in the Honor's Orchestra at UCLA on Saturday.  Congratulations to Lucas Schrock and Nicole Designer, who did an unbelievable job performing.

POWW Glow Party:  Don't forget to join us for the upcoming POWW Glow Party and Fundraiser on Saturday, April 22nd at Hale Middle School.  More information regarding tickets can be found on the POWW and Welby Way website.  There will be tons of quality items for travel, outings, and so much more at the silent auction to bid on along with food, dancing, and fun to be had by all.   I can't wait to see you there.

Welby Way Yearbook:  Don't forget to order this year's yearbook as there are only 2 more weeks to order.  Also, photos are needed so don't forget to submit your child's photos from this school year - 1st day of school, awards, Read Across America, school performances, field trips, and the winter sing.   Attached please find more information regarding how to order your yearbook and where to upload photos.

No School:  There will be no school on Monday, April 24th as it is an unassigned day.  Please be sure to mark your calendar.

I hope you all have a wonderful remainder of the weekend as I continue to thank you for your support and the gift of your child.   Have a good evening and see you in the morning.  This is all for now.

Your Welby Way Principal,

Mrs. DaCorsi
