    Spring Break Covid Testing

    Dear Welby Way Parent/Guardian,

     

    In preparation for returning to school, please review and follow COVID-19 protocols to help ensure a safe learning environment for all Los Angeles Unified students and staff. 

     

    Please note we are distributing rapid antigen tests to all students and staff on or before the last day of school prior to break. These tests have varying expiration dates, however, they are authorized for use beyond their expiration date by the California Department of Public Health, see letter in English and Spanish. 

     

    Testing is recommended

    • Before returning from the long break on April 8 - 9, 2023
    • A week after returning from the long break

     

    The rapid tests should be taken at home 24-48 hours before students and staff return to school. 

     

    Individuals who test NEGATIVE:

    • Do not upload to Daily Pass

    • Attend school

    Individuals who test POSITIVE: 

    • DO NOT attend school

    • Isolate immediately 

    • Contact a doctor to make a plan for care, and 

    • On a separate paper, write down the following information and take a picture:

    1. Full legal name,

    2. Date of birth,

    3. Test date,

    4. Last date on site (if applicable), and

    5. “POSITIVE”
